HAMLET PROTEIN A/S was founded in 1992 by Ole K. Hansen, recording non-stop growth in the 15 years the company was on private hands. In 2007, the Danish equity fund Polaris acquired a majority shareholding as part of a generational succession – and with a clear objective of further increase in Europe and the US.

As Business Development Director and shareholder, founder Ole K. Hansen today continues to play an active role in HAMLET PROTEIN. Along with the other shareholders he constitutes a strong foundation for the continuous growth of the company.

•    Polaris Private Equity (52%)
•    OK Biotech ApS, owned by Ole K. Hansen (44%)
•    Board of directors and management (4%)
